In Tokaido, you play as a traveler walking along the East Sea Road, experiencing a journey filled with discovery rather than direct competition.

During your journey, you will:

• Visit scenic landscapes
• Collect souvenirs
• Taste traditional meals
• Relax in hot springs
• Donate at temples

The goal is not to be the fastest…
but to have the most fulfilling journey and earn the most points

Key mechanic:

• The player furthest behind takes the next turn
  👉 So you must choose between moving slowly for more actions or rushing ahead

 Gameplay

The game is played along a linear path:

On each turn:

• The player farthest behind moves forward
• Chooses a location and performs an action

Actions include:

• Collecting cards (panoramas, souvenirs)
• Eating meals
• Meeting characters
• Visiting locations

 Winning:

• The player with the most points from diverse experiences wins
